Here at The Movement, we gently move you to relieve pain and increase range of motion. We specialize in different forms of pain-free stretching and energy healing to reset the mind/body connection, as well as work on muscle and joint tightness to improve posture and body alignment. Our goal is to relieve and prevent limitations, restrictions, pain and tightness, increase space and range of motion in joints, promote health and wellness, and improve overall quality of life.

Whether you are looking for relief from chronic pain or an injury, stress reduction, if you sit or stand for long periods of time, are an athlete or bodybuilder, or are just looking for relaxation and preventative body and mind maintenance, you will benefit from our services.

We offer one-on-one sessions at our studio or travel to you. We also offer LifeStretch classes for groups: offices, dance studios, team practices, etc.

What We Do

Stretch Therapy

Fascia is the connective tissue surrounding your muscle. Fascial Stretch Therapy stretches the fascia, giving you greater range of motion to muscles and joints. This type of stretching helps lengthen, realign and reorganizes your fascia to help you feel less restricted in all areas of movement.

Thai Yoga Stretch

Also known as “lazy yoga,” Thai Bodywork is traditionally done on a floor mat, but can also be performed on the stretch table for clients who struggle to get up and down. We use a “press and stretch” technique that focuses on opening your “Sen” or “energy” lines throughout your body to promote circulation and relaxation.

Group Stretch

This is a class that uses the principles of Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) to self-assess your current range of motion, restrictions, and other needs by synchronizing breath with movement, using traction to create space and warm up the joints.

Reiki Energy Healing

This ancient Japanese method of healing uses energy to balance the body and mind. In fact, Reiki is believed to improve just about every aspect of life, from physical health to stress reduction and mental clarity.
